Sunday School

Church of the Great Commission’s Sunday School
was designed to promote spiritual growth in each stage of human
development. With classes that minister to all age groups,
Sunday School provides an awesome opportunity to develop a
deeper relationship with the Father and transform an ordinary
life into one characterized by purpose, maturity and love.

Classes currently being offered:

General
Study |
|
This class provides
spiritual instruction on varying topics designed to help
guide and shape the life of the Christian so that the
end result is effective ministry that bears much fruit.
Students are expected to complete assignments in
preparation for discussion and participation in each
class. The General Study class is open to ages 17 and
above. |

Couples'
Class |
|
A biblical study of
the dynamics in the covenant relationship of marriage.
These classes creatively challenge couples to work
together in such areas as communication, decision
making, finance, and intimacy, endeavoring to develop
and maintain relationships that forever bring glory to
God. The class is great for the “seasoned” couple as
well as those planning to marry. |

Young Adult
Class |
|
This class purposes to
strengthen the Young Adults’ faith in Christ, implement
disciplines of bible study, prayer, and fellowship, and
teach biblical principles designed to help the Young
Adult to live a life of obedience to Christ. Ages 17 –
25 are welcome. |
|

Youth Class |
|
This class continues
to build on the foundation of Christ’s teachings,
helping the student to develop a relationship with the
Father, and learning to apply the principles set forth
in the Bible to their lives. |
|

Children’s
Class |
|
An exciting
opportunity for children ages 8-12 to learn of the
covenant relationship between God and themselves.
Teaching includes scripture memorization, bible study
and games that further learning and understanding. |

Little Ones
Class |
|
Using songs, crafts,
nature walks and bible verses, this group is introduced
to the Father and His creation in amusing and exciting
ways. Little ones ages 0-7 will enjoy the nurturing
provided by skilled and loving parents as well as
involvement in activities that further their exposure to
a loving God. |

Discovering
Your Spiritual Gifts |

A two-part class. Time
and Place TBD.
This class teaches on the many gifts of the Spirit, with
an emphasis on the motivational gifts, helps the student
to identify his/her gift and provide opportunities in
which the student can use this gift in service to the
Lord. |
