"Then the righteous will answer
him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed
you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in,
or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see
you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the
truth, whatever you did for one of the least of
these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"
Matthew 25:37-40

God identifies with those most
vulnerable in our society. Caring for those
who are in desperate need is a ministry unto God.
Our world is filled with so many
people in crises, that we can hardly imagine.
From natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes,
wildfires and tsunamis; to unfortunate circumstances
like corporate downsizing, unexpected medical
problems, and untimely death of parents or
guardians. The needs of this world can be
overwhelming. But, we serve a God who is never
overwhelmed; a God who empowers and enables us to
demonstrate His love to people at their greatest
point of need.
The Social Service Council is
responsible to reach out and lead the church in
addressing community needs. On a local level,
individuals can be helped by making an application
to the Benevolence Ministry. When the need is
on the national and international level, the Social
Service Council analyzes the specific need and makes
a proposal to the church as to how that need can be
addressed.
Below are some the roles necessary
